Product Manager - Consumer Video

Job Description

Our client is looking for a Product Manager who has experience with programs and technology related to the “delivery" of video services to consumers.

As the Product Manager, this person will be involved in the creating the next generation of Video services with a distinct focus on breaking new ground and capturing additional market share.

The role interfaces with and manages all aspects of product design, development and takes to market strategy development.

The Product Manager - Broadband Entertainment, Video Experience role will be based out of downtown Toronto, and will report in to the Senior Product Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage complex product requirements, business rules and use cases with cross-functional teams (design, development, QA, operations, marketing, programming, etc.) to launch new and improved features and functions for video discovery, viewing and engagement
• Define, deliver and manage video experiences on multiple platforms for multiple devices and operating systems (pc/laptop, tablets, mobile, game consoles, internet tv, etc.)
• Research, define and architect new services and features collaboratively with an integrated team of product managers, designers and solution architects
• Balance the business, user and technology objectives and requirements to result in best product decisions. Track best fit for our client's current user base, segments and behaviour for new and improved features
• Define success criteria for effective measurement of product deployment and management


Qualifications:

• 3+ years of product management experience with complex web services dedicated to over-the-top video services. Comprehensive experience with deployment and management of cross platform video services is a must
• Experience managing and collaborating with internal and external teams for design, development and deployment
• Experience and proficiency with user-centered methods, web technologies, product development, and new service launches
• Experience with and passion for emerging video and social networking trends
• A detail oriented mind that maintains priority and quality in a constantly, changing environment
• Effective communication of requirements, direction and feedback to internal and external teams. Can steer decisions informatively and quickly
• Uses flexible, documentation techniques for a quick paced development environment
• Applies continued focus to measurement and improvement throughout all phases of the product lifecycle


Education:

• Relevant University or College Degree(s) or equivalent work experience
• Portfolio samples and references required
