Our client has a requirement for Test Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.


Qualified Candidates will have:

We are looking for a Test Manager (not a QA Manager). The Test Manager must have experience with large, complex data-intensive initiatives across multiple legacy and trading applications. They must be able to work within a large enterprise program and provide direction to a team of technology professionals, business analysts and subject matter experts.

The Test Manager will be working on CDIC Fast Determination Project.

Please submit candidates who have worked and understand legacy and trading applications. This individual would need to have strong technology background and understands data and systems, in particular Wholesale banking - Capital Market (deposits, payments, or wealth products). This project is focused on extracting data from deposit transactions, testing these data from extracts and loads, and ensuring the data extract is correct and can process instructions and implement account holds.

We are not looking for a Test Manager with web development or people manager or test methodologies guru. We are not looking for credit or market risk or derivates experience. We are looking for a seasoned Test Manager who has worked with data migration or conversion or has worked with a similar type of project such as Basel initiative. This project is very data intensive and assembling feeds. This individual will need to have at least ten (10) years experience with legacy applications and at least five (5) years experience with trading applications.

The role will also require the manager to perform testing along with their team. They need to have experience with UAT testing or managed UAT testing. They also have managed non testers and non developers in UAT environment. This individual needs to have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Initial phone interviews will be held to pre-qualify candidates. A second interview will be requested for candidates moving forward. A final interview may be requested to meet with business and technology stakeholders. This is a six month contract with a strong possibility of extension beyond six months.

Candidates with Wholesale banking - Capital Market (deposits, payments, or wealth products) experience will be given preference. Candidates who has worked with large, complex data-intensive initiatives projects on multiple legacy and trading applications in the past. Resumes need to demonstrate the candidate has worked as a Test Manager for at least ten years with strong emphasis on projects with data extracts and understands data and systems.
