About the Job

Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Base24 POS Programmer for a 3 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

Intermediate Level - Strong experience with BASE24-pos release 6.0 configurations of Acquirer (SPDH) and Issuer payment networks (interchanges), hosts and routing as well as stand-in functionality as well as programming skills (i.e. TAL, TACL and COBOL). An understanding of the operations aspects of a production implementation of BASE24 is also preferred.

The work requires that the candidate adhere to the documented development processes, conforming to the SDLC and audit requirements. This involves Configuration Change Management, Test plans and specification of simulator test cases surrounding the coding and testing that the candidate and the team produce.


Requirements or Qualifications

• Delivering technical documentation and solutions according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Provide detailed development estimates to Development Lead for development effort as well as regular status reporting.
• Configuration management tracking all environment changes.
• Development of end-to-end certification test plans, test cases and associated test execution and result reporting efforts.
• Execution of certification test scripts and evaluation of the test results using Visa, Master Card, Amex and Interac EMV development standards.
• Provide technical support to testing team during testing phases. Update and resolve assigned defects.
• Data set up and environment shake down.
• Knowledge transfer within group.
• Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff through the contract term.
