About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Project Control Officer for a sixteen month contract opportunity. The position is located in London, ON.


Role

We require a project coordinator whose primary focus will be on providing analytical support to project managers. The ideal candidate will ensure project control procedures and policies within a program of related projects are executed and assist in maintaining project schedules. They will also develop and maintain issue logs, maintain project repositories of documents, and prepare documents for various recurring meetings including minutes, issue logs etc. Finally the ideal candidate will develop presentation documentation as required for project teams and develop consolidate program status reports.


Responsibilities

As part of this team, prime responsibility will be to:

•Completion of documentation (reports, change requests, meeting minutes, spreadsheet updates).
•Manages project communications and documentation repository.
•Utilizing project management software, creates, updates, and maintains project schedules with information received from project managers and team leads. Ensures that dependencies and links with other schedules are established correctly, taking initiative to identify obvious conflicts.
•Updates weekly resource availability reports, project dashboards, weekly status reports through project management software.
•Facilitates effective and efficient knowledge management through creation and maintenance of project repository.


Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

•Four years of Project Management experience.
•Good understanding of Distributed Technologies (host and distributed environments)
•MS Project knowledge to create and maintain project plans.
•MS Excel and PowerPoint knowledge to create and maintain documents.
•Knowledge and experience in maintaining a central repository of project plans, reports, competencies etc.
•Exception organizational skills
•Strong communications skills
