Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for an Associate Producer for a permanent opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.
The client has an opportunity available to join their Product Development team.
Manage the development, from concept to release, of key products. Oversees the development cycle of assigned titles. Establishes, maintains and enhances relationships with internal and external production and development teams. Ensures milestones and development time schedules are met. Work closely with the clients overseas producers to align franchise goals and drive product development to meet the overall franchise plan. Owns quality, budget and schedule of one or more SKU's of an assigned titles. Directly manages key SKU's, working with development teams to ensure top quality and efficient use of resources. May be required to manage additional production staff responsible for ancillary SKU's and/or components of large projects. Will be managing a close relationship with R&D teams located in Osaka and Tokyo.
Requirement or Qualifications:
- A proven track record of creating, developing and shipping top quality console, mobile, or PC entertainment software. Proven ability to produce AAA titles.
- At least 5 years video game production experience
- High level of management skills and production processes.
- Experience in managing both internal and external development teams highly desirable
- Experience in developing SKU's for both North America and Europe highly desirable
- Experience with a wide variety of game categories on both consoles and the PC highly desirable.
- Experience in working with Japanese development studios or working in a Japanese video game company a plus
- Passion for video games and IPs.
