Kofax System Administrator / Developer

Department Overview:

Enterprise Delivery Services is part of Client Architecture and is responsible for managing shared aspects of delivery for the Enterprise. Enterprise Shared Application Services (ESAS) is focused on the management and support of composite shared capabilities (Enterprise Service Bus, Business Process Management, and Enterprise Document Management) and the associated application development frameworks and Centres of Excellence.


Job Description:

• The Kofax Administrator/Developer will support the in-house document imaging systems and be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all Kofax software, while ensuring its optimal performance
• Active participation in the development, system administration, configuration, testing and support of all aspects of the document management system
• Integrating KOFAX document capture solutions with RightFax, Pega and IBM FileNet Content Manager
• Develop advanced KTM Classification, Separation, and Extraction solution per each project’s requirements
• Build the Initial Kofax Model Using Sample Documents
• Test and refine the KTM Model using results from control sets
• Develop Business Rules, Scripting, and Extraction of Index Fields (i.e. Work Flow Agent modification , Custom KCEC - Release Script to ESB-Pega)
• Active participation in the development, administration, configuration, testing support and maintenance of all aspects of the corporate document management system
• Optimize scanning and OCR processes and develop new processes as required
• Measurement and reporting of established metrics
• Provide internal support before opening a defect with Kofax support
• Understand overall integrated solution to identify how changes to one component can impact the other
• Contribute to building and re-use of shared components according to Enterprise guidelines for several projects at the same time
• Ensure technology issues are clearly communicated and drive to resolution
• Apply industry/technical knowledge to provide solutions that increase business results and/or minimize risk
• Contribute to meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, within budget, and adhering to relevant standards


Must Haves:

• At least 3 years of hands on experience developing document management solutions which included the following technologies:
o Kofax Capture (KC)
o Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) (Min 2 yrs)
o Kofax Ascent Capture configuration and Custom Script language - Nice to have
o .net (C#.net)
o Visual Basic and SQL Server
o FileNet Content Manager - Nice to have
o RightFax - Nice to have
o 5+ years experience in the IT industry
