Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Consultant for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities/Job Functions:
  • Work on a collaborative team analyzing client issues and interviewing key personnel
  • Assist with the development of recommendations and presentations for client engagements
  • Participate in client presentations
  • Prioritize your objectives and contribute to project planning and status reporting Qualifications Undergraduate degree
  • Up to 2 years relevant work experience
  • Strong commitment to professional client service excellence
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work effectively with other in teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptulize new approaches and solutions
  • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
 
Minimum qualifications:
  • This position requires a University degree or college diploma in business and five (5) years experience in procurement, contract negotiations and management, senior purchasing or equivalent
  • Experience in Outsourcing procurement engagements and contract management an asset.
  • Knowledge of Contract Management life cycle, creating and screening of Statements of Work and appendices to contracts.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead/work in cross functional teams.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Tenders (RFT) and Request for Pre-Qualification, (RFPQ) and negotiating and preparing contracts and agreements in an advertising, marketing and communications environment.
  • Ability to interpret and implement corporate policy in all corporate purchases.
  • Thorough knowledge of Provincial Government Procurement Directives, policies and procedures, including the Procurement Directive on Advertising, Public and Media Relations, and Creative Communications Services.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and research skills.
  • Proficient in PeopleSoft or equivalent purchasing systems and.
  • Thorough knowledge of contract law and the laws of competitive bidding and regulations
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills supported with an ability to deal effectively with all levels of management, staff and external vendors.
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
