Job Description:

Alcatel Lucent Analyst for a 10 month contract opportunity is available now in Calgary.

Role:

• Proven experience with IP/ MPLS data network design. (5 yrs)
• Proven experience with Alcatel-Lucent 77xx Service Routers product line. (5 yrs)
• Proven experience with Alcatel-Lucent 5620 Service Aware Manager. (5 yrs)
• Proven experience with switching, preferably Alcatel Omniswitch product line.
• Proven experience in development of operational sustainability plans.
• Proven experience in mentoring, training and working in a team environment.
• Previous network infrastructure work experience with Municipal, other Government Organizations or equivalent endeavors.
• Good analysis and problem solving (troubleshooting) skills.
• Motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Review current IP/ MPLS environment and put forth recommendations for operational sustainability.
• Review current architecture and make recommendation on improvements.
• Quality assurance on the NMS toolset to ensure it can support day-to-day operations.
• Training and mentoring of City staff on using the NMS tools to monitor, manage, support, and troubleshoot the environment.
• Training and mentoring of City staff on provisioning of defined services using the NMS tools.
• Documentation and process development as required to meet the objective of this engagement.
