Role:

Our Client requires the services of an experienced Business Intelligence Architect to be part of the organizations Data Warehouse group. A solid background in Business Intelligence architectures, technologies, development practices and operations is required.

The individual will provide subject matter expertise and operational support in the field of Business Intelligence.

 

Responsibilities :

• Creation, support and continuous improvement of Business Intelligence frameworks.
• Extend current capabilities, as required, through the successful assimilation of new technologies and techniques (mobile, analytics, unstructured data, advanced data visualization etc.).
• Provide guidance and expertise in the delivery of innovative Business Intelligence solutions.
• Provide coaching and mentoring.
• Assist in the development of the Business Intelligence future state strategic architecture and migration roadmap.
• Provide operational support for the Business Intelligence environment.
• Communicate successfully across all levels and disciplines (business stakeholders and technical teams) within the organization in resolving problems, developing solutions, soliciting cooperation and ensure alignment to The City’s Business Intelligence best practices and strategic vision.

 

Qualification:

• Minimum 5 years experience in architecting, developing and delivering successful Business Intelligence solutions and platforms.
• 5+ years experience with a major Business Intelligence technology set. (MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, Oracle).
• 5+ years related Business Intelligence architect experience ( well versed in Kimball architecture; ETL methodologies; data virtualization; SOA; mobile; Big Data).
• Exceptional customer engagement, interpersonal, presentation and overall communication skills.

 

Desired Skills:

• Business Objects.
• Informatica.
• Experience in Agile project delivery is an asset.
• Handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure to meet deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Previous work experience with Municipal, other Government Organizations or equivalent endeavours.
