Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Junior Software Designer for their Linux Development Team.  This is a permanent job opportunity that is located in the west end of Ottawa. The Software Designer will be a part of a team responsible for building innovative products and solutions for content management and content distribution. They will be participating in the designing, developing, implementing and maintaining of complex software products, enhancements and features.

Qualified Candidates must have:

• College Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 2+ years related work experience in software development primarily in C/C++ multi-threaded programming
• Working experience using  Linux (kernel, command line, debugging tools)
• Knowledge of Networking and Internet technologies (HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce a quality product in a timely manner
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
