About the Job

Our client is a global bank is looking to hire an Oracle Fusion IT Solutions Developer to join the corporate technology solutions team. It is a permanent opportunity and the position is located in Toronto.   

Requirements or Qualifications

This role provides solutions to business processes through the analysis of requirements, participation in design and programming of systems. As part of the Corporate Segment Technology Solutions team, the IT Solutions Developer will be responsible for contributing to the technical development and support for Oracle Fusion General Ledger.
  • Representing CSTS as the technical subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion General Ledger
  • Supporting the Team Lead in developing business cases, proposals and other costs estimates maintaining service level agreements with vendors/suppliers where applicable.
  • Designing and developing quality solutions to meet project objectives and client requirements following technology architecture standards.
  • Delivering Oracle Fusion General Ledger development projects through full project life cycle from assessment, and requirements through to implementation and warranty.   
    Communicating with the business clients and providing timely updates regarding planning, costs, and status
  • Delivering effective solutions by managing key project milestones and overall project deliverables to be on time, within budget and adhering to development and quality standards.
    Complying with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management life cycle (PMLC) methodologies by participating in scope assessment, and risk and cost analysis.    
  • Leading the testing process in accordance with approved test plans, using available/appropriate tools and participates in reviewing peer coding.
  • Review and analyze test results.
  • Develop and document test strategies including System Test Plans and Production Acceptance Test Plans for new and modified systems based on technical and business specifications.
  • Presenting solutions to the teams to facilitate appropriate knowledge transfer within the team and business units.
  • Coaching and mentoring mentor junior team members as required
Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Technical knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials GL or Oracle e-Business R12 GL Accounting Hub
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion development technologies (i.e. Oracle JDeveloper and ADF) an asset
  • Proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL
    Strong working knowledge of General Ledger business processes and automation
    Proven project implementation experience in package software
  • Sound technical understanding of Infrastructure/network/platform/database and application architecture and design in connection to a business application.
  • Willingness to challenge the status-quo and develop and recommend viable alternative solutions  
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Finance background is an asset
  • Strong Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to understand and acquire new technical skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Peoplesoft Financials Technical

  • An undergraduate degree Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
