Job Description

Our client has a requirement for an Information Security Specialist for a 13 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role

• Assist with the strategy and implementation plan for:
• BCP/DR
• IT Risk Management
• the corporate information security education, training and awareness program
• Direct all staff in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining processes across the organization to reduce information and IT risk, respond to incidents, establish appropriate standards and controls, and direct the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures
• Develop an Information Security/Risk Management maturity model, that provides a consolidated view of the Client’s S/RM posture and tracks compliance to legislation and/or policies
• Develop policies and governance documentation

Requirement or Qualifications

• Experience supporting a Business Continuity Program (5-10 years)
• Experience working in the government sector (2+ years)
• Experience developing an IT Risk Management framework (3+ years)
• Experience implementing Security/Risk Management/BCP/DR policies, procedures and processes (4-8 years)
• Experience assessing BIAs (2+ years)
• Information Security experience (10+ years)
• Professional designation such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC or CIPP
