Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Risk Management Security Specialist for a 13 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role

The Client is interested in the establishment of an authoritative, sustainable risk management framework that addresses specific IT components/elements 'in-turn' ie for every IT component/element identified, a corresponding framework will be stood up that allows component-/element-specific risk to be understood and managed accordingly.

The IT Risk Management work package will, at a minimum, consist of the following deliverables, supported by various lower-level tasks:

  1. IT Risk Management Framework (RMF) strategy and strategic plan that documents:
    1. Background for the IT RMF project, that includes, but is not limited to, scope, rationale, objectives, outcomes and benefits
    2. Positioning of the IT RMF within the broader, general contexts of IT governance and enterprise risk management
    3. Positioning of the IT RMF within corporate-grade initiatives that include, but are not limited to: Information Management
    4. Identification of IT RMF 'candidates' ie IT components that require frameworks, and are rationalized as such based on criteria specific to the 'candidate' component, and have management sponsorship for their development as a specialized framework and subsequent implementation
    5. Recommendations concerning the adoption of industry-specific frameworks for management supported components
2) IT RFM implementation plan that includes, but is not limited to:
  1. Time-and-effort estimates required to stand up individualized frameworks for confirmed 'candidate' components
  2. Metrics that provide the justification for the implementation schedule (for eg urgency case/difficulty-of-deployment etc.) and order of precedence.
Requirement or Qualifications
• IT risk management experience (3-4 years)
• IT risk management framework experience (3-4 years)
• Information Security experience (2-3 years)
• Experience developing security/risk management policies and
  procedures (4-8 years)
• Experience conducting IT and non-IT investigations (5-8 years)
• Business continuity planning experience (2-3 years)
• Disaster recovery planning experience (2-3 years)
• Experience working in the government sector (5+ years)
• Currently possess CRISC certification
• Currently possess ABCP/CBCP certification
• Currently possess a Private Investigator's license
