Job Description:

Senior Technical Writer for a 6 Month Contract opportunity is available now in Toronto, ON

Role:

Our client is looking for a Senior Technical Writer with a consultant hat on who not only write detailed user guides or internet procedures but someone who can identify procedures requirements, map out the work effort, execute and follow-up to ensure the deliverables are met. Work is not going to be handed over but they need to be more consultative to do discovery work and ensure they receive the information required to complete their work on a timely matter.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop written information about the organization’s computing systems that aid in their development, use, and support
• Outputs will include a range of documents to be read by both technical and non-technical personnel across all departments
• Coordinate technical writers; assume responsibility for their activities
• Ensure adherence to organization’s procedures and standards
• Establish organization’s priorities for development
• Ensure proper identification and dissemination of resource material
• Coordinate staff information and provide update meetings

 

Requirement or Qualifications:

• Consultant hat on and can deliver and write detailed user guides and internet procedures
• Takes ownership and assertive to meet timelines
• SRS, SDS experience
• 6+years technical writer experience with user guides, internet procedures
• Has worked on large projects with multiple deliverables with multiple businesses impacted
• Has experience in putting process guide and change the existing workflow as required
• Regulatory type of projects - FATCA, Dodd Frank is an asset
• Financial Industry / wealth experience is an asset
