Role

Currently we are seeking a strong Sr. QA with for our Service Request Management project. The incumbent will be required to work to understand the business requirements, and apply that knowledge to the validation and testing of the key deliverables within the Service Request Project for all use-cases for all Service Request Management.
The individual will need to work independently to quickly understand the internal organization and effectively lead discussions to obtain the required information from stakeholders and technical teams.

A very detail-oriented and self-starter mindset is required in order to have the necessary rigor of meeting with all stakeholder groups and progressively working with them while aligning these requirements to the longer term vision of the project. The successful candidate would exercise strong thought leadership to be able to influence direction with stakeholders and work to clarify challenges and opportunities in an environment with competing priorities for stakeholders. Ideally an understanding of Service Request Management as well as an understanding of how to navigate large corporate enterprise structures in a Sr. QA capacity is preferred in order to successfully define and document the business systems requirements and to push various project activities along.

The Sr QA will ensure systems deliverables are met and provide consultation as required through the project life cycle, collaborate with business leaders, IT groups and vendors/partners to ensure issues are communicated clearly and accurately. The Quality Analyst will take a leadership role in working and liaising with business partners to provide research, analysis and documentation business requirements.

 

Requirements or Qualifications

• Effectively identify, define and document detailed business and system requirements with the involvement of business subject matter experts utilizing the system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology. Translate requirements into functional specification and documentation
• Integrate technical solutions with the business environment, recognizing systems interdependencies, reusability and ensuring seamless delivery.
• Ensure system deliverables meet business requirements by participating in identifying, designing and testing solutions. Ensure requirements integrity by managing changes to requirements.
• Follow, Apply and manage all testing and reporting aspects of the project.
• Take ownership of translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Serve as a resource for the project team during evaluation of training and performance support needs and the design of the training and performance support products.
• Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios and test cases in an agile environment
• Design, develop and implement automated functional test scripts for new and existing features
• Define test scenarios and test steps using HP QC and Excel
• Maintain automation scripts with HP QTP
• Assist in review on the business requirements and identify gaps/conflicts with the existing system
• Design and develop specific automation tool kits and automation policies including integration of automated test execution into the development process
• Develop a set of Load Testing scripts for tool environment
• Execute these test to develop a baseline performance level
• Execute the baseline tests against the vendor environment
• Participate in all aspects of the Agile Scrum development process, including daily status meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, QA look ahead meetings and sprint retrospective Interact with Vendor software developers and other quality assurance analysts to ensure the deliverables meet testing requirements and coverage
• Provide status reports on progress and issues to Project Manager
• Provide reporting on the content of the test scripts developed
• Log defects and work closely with BSA, Process lead, Business SMEs and vendor developers to investigate, troubleshoot and verify defect fixes
• Escalate quality issues quickly and effectively
• Involved in organizing and executing all stages of testing leading up to a successful release the product

 

Must Have

• ITIL foundation certification
• Expert use of Quality Center (HP QC)
• Expert use of Quality Test Pro (HP QTP) • Conversant with Visio & Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and exposure in agile software development methodologies (Scrum)
