Job Description:

Senior QA Analyst for a 6 months contract opportunity is available now in Toronto.

Role:

We are looking for a Sr QA to assist the QA team with coordinating, writing and execution of project level QA activities. These activities include but not limited to the analysis of requirements, test plans/test cases development, coordination and execution of functional, integration, and regression testing.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Review System Requirements and System Design Documents to create test cases with detailed steps and expected results with a high degree of accuracy
• Create and Execute test cases and document actual results, with a high degree of accuracy for System Test Phase and System Integration adhering to timelines
• Assist in defining Test Data and Test Environment Requirements
• Log defects and assist in resolution process as required
• Creation of Test strategies, Test Plan for small to medium complexity projects
• Adhere to prescribed Testing processes
• Provide support to Business Teams for Business Testing as required
• Build relationships and work collaboratively to identify solutions and resolve variance from product/application specifications
• Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines
• Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team
• Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers

 

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Advanced technical knowledge, analytical skills and strong working knowledge of applications supported
• Strong know ledge of Test Strategy development, Test Planning, Defect Reporting and Test Case design techniques for initiatives ranging from moderate to high complexity
• Advanced knowledge of testing, software development life cycle, QA methodologies, configuration management, defect tracking systems and automated test tools
• Provides testing co-ordination
• Identifies testing risks and coordinates test environment
• Writes scripts and scenarios per QA methodology
• Sound understanding and working knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and PMLC (Project Management Life Cycle
• Proficient in HP QC testing tool
• Knowledgeable in testing of host and distributed systems(GUI and back end testing)
• Proficient knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint, MS Project, Visio and PowerPoint
• Sound understanding of the underlying technologies, infrastructure and business continuity planning for the applications supported
• General knowledge of Bank and technology standards (e.g., infrastructure, architecture, processes, applications)
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in teams as well as independently with little supervision
• Knowledge of ETL Process and compliance applications is an asset

 

Specific Education Requirements:

• University or college or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of Compliance is an asset

• Knowledge of compliance applications like SAS AML, Watchlist and CRR
• Financial/Banking experience
