SOA Team Lead for a 6 month contract opportunity is available now in North York.

Role:

Reporting to the SOA Team Lead, the incumbent performs testing, including SOA testing, logs defects and tests fixes for our client's applications. The incumbent writes test cases and scripts based on business requirements, functional and technical specifications.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify and detail test conditions from design documents and service contracts
• Document and implement a SOA automation framework using the SOAPUI Pro/LoadUI tool that can be maintained through subsequent releases
• Automate existing test scenarios within SOAPUI Pro scripting and where possible integrate with the Quality Centre tool
• Perform Software Testing in support of schedule objectives
• Develop test cases based on business requirements, functional and technical specifications.
• Build SQL queries to validate data
• Maintain existing test cases and scripts based on code changes and enhancements to assigned applications
• Perform Regression Test Planning and Execution
• Create and send issue reports
• Liaises with Business Analysts, Developers and QA Team to determine testing regulations and plans to address business impact, potential problem occurrence and risk.
• Determine and logs defects to investigate post warranty, warranty or new functionality. Documents reproducible steps for software vendor.
• Tests bug fixes by determining reproducible documented steps to complete rapid testing on outside areas of concern.
• Maintains and updates application deficiency lists as required to ensure information is current and relevant.
• Detect defects outside of the documented test cases.
• Schedules and receives and provides ongoing training to ensure current understanding of technical and operational areas.

 

Skills:

• Expert in SOA Automated Testing (SOAPUI Pro)
• Significant experience in testing web services and SOA Applications
• Significant experience in testing Web applications
• This position requires a demonstrated level of initiative and judgment in order to organize and prioritize tasks, workload and projects. Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with colleagues in every day working relationships.
• Requires an understanding of inter-related work processes to be able to adapt to differing assignments.

• Communicates well in writing by composing clear documents; facility with editing and/or proof-reading is required
• Demonstrated understanding of quality standards relative to software quality assurance methodologies and principals, pharmacy systems, pharmacy business processes and provincial conformance requirements.

 

Requirements:

• Three to five years IT, systems or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years SOA testing using SOAPUI
• Experience with IBM Websphere Application Server, Websphere Datapower, Websphere Message Broker and Websphere MQ is an asset
