Role:

This individual will be working at least 80% of his/her time in providing real support experience in enterprise environments and 20% coding as required. The ideal candidate can lead a production incident; navigate his way around with calm but decisive and clear instructions. This candidate must be able to handle multiple applications and are able to troubleshoot and fix deployment issues and have real support experience in enterprise environments

We are looking for candidate which has extensive experience with supporting mission critical applications in complex environment. Someone who has interacted on daily basis with multiply department within the organization (development, production, DBA) and worked In multi-tier platforms. They need to have solid leadership skills along with excellent communication skills.

Please note we are emphasizing that this role is a technical support developer. The candidate won't develop on a daily basis, but will support very complex production applications. On one hand, He/She will be the gate keeper to the production systems and on the other hand be the escalation level for any incident. He will conduct routine meetings with developments teams to review the code and the progress. Eventually, he will able to support the products up to the code level. In such way, that the development team will not be engaged about production incidents.

Communication skills – we spend hours writing emails, sending instructions or on the phone with people that are in charge of live applications. It is essential that the candidate is able to write clearly, state the matter in simple to understand English and be to the point. His/Her ability to summarize complex issues is also important.

This role is for Support or Third Level Code support for Java applications. This candidate will be required to handle multiple applications and needs to understand the Incident / problem management process if possible. Java applications are connecting to IBM book of record and other various databases, DB2 Oracle.

Solid communication is important for this role and FI/Banking industry experience is preferred.

This candidate must be able to handle multiple applications and are able to troubleshoot and fix deployment issues. This position will also provide support on existing applications and new projects; troubleshoot levels 1 and 2 support on defects. Please note this candidate will be working regular hours; however, from time to time, in order to support deployment issues, they may need to work after hours and may be carrying a pager. Pager Pay is $14/hr pay rate per 8 hour shift with a 2 hr min hours if there were any incident calls.

Requirement or Qualifications:

Must have:

• latest technology SOA based - JMS, Maven and spring Framework, Agile
• J2EE, JSP, JSF, Core Java, JMS, MQ Series, MKS, SQL, DB2, Oracle
• Support experience in enterprise environments
• Development experience in distributed windows or Java environment.
• Experience working with large projects and developed newer technology
• Financial /Banking experience

 

Nice to have:

• Wealth experience
