Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Technical Architect for a 12 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Ottawa, Ontario.

Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
- 10+ years of experience developing technical architecture, frameworks and strategies to meet business and application requirements, ensure the integration of technical solutions and provide support to applications and technical support teams.
- 3+ years of recent experience designing the architecture around web applications written in JAVA.
- 3+ years of recent experience designing the architecture around the integration of 3 or more systems that use common code, common data sources and application interactions via web services.
- 9+ years experience designing architecture for systems using J2EE framework.
- 6+ years experience establishing and enforcing coding conventions for software development teams and coordinating code reviews.
- Experience implementing solutions using one or more of the following standards:
- TMX
- TBX
- SRX
- XLIFF
- 3+ years of experience blueprinting solutions, using structured analysis and data modeling techniques and creating design procedures.
- 3+ years of experience integrating computer-assisted translation tools into one or more existing financial or ERP systems.
- 3+ years of experience as a technical architect of an integrated environment where 2 or more ORM (Object Relational Mapping) technologies are used.
- Experience developing Single Sign-On solutions using Entrust TruePass.
- Recent experience using the following technologies as part of developing software:
- Okapi Framework
- Prototype or jQuery JavaScript Frameworks
- Sonatype Nexus
- Implementing REST-ful Web Services
- JAXB – (generating Java Objects from XML Schema and marshalling / unmarshalling Java objects to / from XML)
- JMeter
- Apache CXF version 2.3 or higher
- Spring Framework version 2.5 or greater
- ICU4J version 4.0 or higher
- Hibernate version 3.0 or Higher
