About the Job
Our client has an opening for a Systems Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent role located in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, code, install, test, debug, support, and document applications using appropriate processes, tools and standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing applications and restore normal operations in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Carry out unit testing, system testing and integration testing tasks
Requirements or Qualifications
- Experience with customizing and supporting various security and user management systems (e.g., directories, Entrust, RSA, etc.)
- Knowledge of IT Security principals and associated Registration, Identity Management and Access Management techniques
- Experience with a variety of J2EE application servers (e.g., JBOSS, Tomcat, OC4J, WebLogic, and web servers (e.g., IIS, Apache, etc.)
- Experience deploying, configuring and supporting applications in high-availability environments
- Previous experience in developing applications and customizing “off the shelf” products, including: Knowledge of Java and / or .NET
- Extensive experience integrating different vendor products to provide an overall solution.
- Object Oriented architectures, architecture and programming experience
- Experience integrating web applications with external web access management systems is desired
