Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Help Desk Specialist for a one (1) year contract. The position is located in Ottawa, ON.

Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
- 2 years experience providing end user support and training (Identifying and resolving PC workstation-related hardware) and software issues within an organizational context.
- Completion of a minimum of 2 years in an post-secondary educational program in computer science or information technology.
- 2 years utilizing incident tracking systems to track and update incoming service incidents, from initiation to completion.
- 2 years experience organizing and planning tasks to meet deadlines.
- 2 years installing and configuring the following applications and operating systems: Microsoft XP, Blackberry Desktop Manager, WordPerfect Office 2002, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Office.
- 2 years installing, configuring and supporting the Lotus Notes client using Lotus Notes 6.5.5 or 8 including e-mail, databases, calendaring and shared functionality.
- 2 years of LAN/WAN networking based on Novell and/or the TCIP/IP suite of protocols (e.g., IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP), including basic knowledge of network hardware devices (e.g., routers, NICs, switches, etc.).
- Experience, in the last 4 years, utilizing HP ServiceCenter or alternatively a similar ticketing system preferably based on ITIL methodologies.
- Valid Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance.
