Our client has a requirement for a Project Manager/Leader L3 for a 12 month contract opportunity. The position is located in St. Catharines.

Scope of Services and Deliverables - The Services and Deliverables to be provided will include the following:
Responsibilities
Our client seeks one (1) Project Manager/Leader to assist with the enterprise Integration specifically in the areas of monitoring, configuration management, virtual machine manager, host integration, unified access, SharePoint and Team Foundation Services.
The consultant, under the direction of the Service Operations Manager, will be responsible to the installation of software products architected for specific functions, e.g. monitoring, configure the software to operate within the .NET SDE environment and the integration with the other components of the SDE management suite. The products must be functional in all SDE environments (Development, Functional QA, Technical QA, UAT, Production, and Management Zone)
Scope of Services
- Identify critical gaps as delivered versus as built blue print.
- Assess state of the environment and identify risks from a security, performance and maintainability perspective.
- Tune products to automate repetitive maintenance activities and improve overall performance of the service.
- Update support documentation for respective products
- Develop test plan for successful integration into SDE
- Carry out test plan with OPS “buddy”
- Knowledge Transfer to OPS staff
Contribute documentation to the OPS “Knowledge Base” of known
General Skills:
A list of skills and knowledge that the candidate must have to be considered a Project Manager\Leader, Level 3
- Project Management experience at the specified experience level
- Leadership experience in one or more of the following areas:
- multi-tiered application development
- selecting and establishing technical architectures
- design and development of large or medium corporate database applications
- establishment and/or management of information resource management functions in large or medium organizations
- managing the implementation activities associated with large IT projects such as data conversion and database loading
- Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications
- Experience in the use of project management software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
Desirable Skills:
The following is a list of skills and knowledge that the candidate must have to successfully complete the deliverables.
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management (including record keeping) policies and practices
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in working in accordance with policies and procedures of Ontario Public Service;
- Integration experience with Microsoft products like SharePoint, HIS, UAG, Dynamics, SQL Server, SCOM, SCCM. in a virtualized environment using Hyper V
- Experience working with Microsoft Technologies in a clustered environment.
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies within a Platform-As-A-Service, Cloud Computing Services or Dynamic Data Centre type initiatives.
- Experience in network design / network connectivity to assist in defining and troubleshooting issues related to external connectivity of an application hosting service is a plus.
- Experience with the ITIL v3 Service Management processes – particularly around Incident, Change, Release and Knowledge Management is a plus.
- Awareness of emerging IT trends
