Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for Project Leader for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto. The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:

Deliverables
- Lead the Implementation Team in the roll-out of select software solutions to the government sector
- Assume day-to-day planning, management and control of the Implementation Team
- Act as the main point of contact for Homes, Support Centre, Communications, Training and Implementation team for questions and issues associated with software implementation
- Responsible for contacting all eligible homes within the sector and educating them on the software options offered through the project. Coordinate demos and conduct appropriate follow up
- Escalate issues associated with software implementation to the Project Manager
- Provide status update reports re: software implementation at the project Steering Committee
- Collaborate with other teams in the management of the software roll- out and support activities
- Development of implementation project plan, risks and issues
- Ensure alignment/linkages with other initiatives within the project
- Liaise with the Standards Team to ensure all changes to the standards are reflected and incorporated into the implementation plan
- Lead project activities associated with the transition of software to ongoing operations and support/maintenance
Qualifications - Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Experience in healthcare and working in healthcare teams
- Extensive knowledge of OHRS/MIS
- Experience in leading implementation team(s) in healthcare projects
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of financial management, accounting and program analysis
- Extensive project leadership experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Multi-organization projects
- Multiple stakeholders
- Establishment and/or management of information resource management functions in large or medium organizations
- Managing the implementation activities associated with large projects
- Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and maintenance of applications
- Experience in the use of project management software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
