Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Software Engineer for  3 months Contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a $10 Million multi-year program aimed at reducing costs, reducing risks, and improving the technology user experience. Role and responsibilities
 The Security Engineering team has an enterprise wide focus on authentication, authorization, and security compliance. The team is a common interface to both the Security Governance business team and Audit for all of Engineering Security within Infrastructure Technology Solutions (ITS).
This position accountability will have a primary focus on supporting various Symantec Antivirus/Malware products from an engineering deployment and ongoing support perspective.
The successful candidate will need to have knowledge and proven experience in deploying and supporting Symantec Malware solutions for:
        SEP11/SEP12 (both for the SEPM Manager Infrastructure and the endpoints):
o    Endpoint platforms; Desktop, Laptop, Servers
        Symantec Endpoint Protection for large files systems(SAN infrastructure)
        Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers.
        Knowledge/Experience with the Symantec SSIM Reporting application/service would be an asset.
        Participate in Business projects to understand security requirements and assisting with the definition and documentation of these requirements.
        Assist in the creation of detailed design, various engineering process documents, testing documentation, deployment and day to day operational support documentation.
        Take a key role in the deployment of the security solution.
        Provide consulting to various Technology Solutions teams on the use and deployment of Symantec products.
        Must Have - Symantec Certified Specialist (SCS) Administration of Symantec Endpoint protection 12.1 or equivalent Symantec Accreditation.
        Proficient in the Windows Operating Systems. A working knowledge of other platforms (UNIX, Linux, or z/OS) is an asset.
·         Strong oral and written communication skills are essential in order to interact with support groups, and vendors.
·         Senior Level - Full lifecycle application development. Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.
·         Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
·         Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
·         Software modeling and simulation
·         Front end graphical user interface design
·         Software testing and quality assurance
·         Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
·         Support, maintain and document software functionality
·         Integrate software with existing systems
·         Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
·         Project Planning and Project Management
·         Maintain standards compliance
·         Implement localization or globalization of software
