About the Job

Our client has a requirement for an IT Analyst Technical Support for a 7 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Scarborough, ON.

Role

The ideal candidate will provide monitoring and automation solutions for Distributed and Mainframe systems and applications. The individual would be part of a 24 member team. A contractor would be successful in this position if they ensure that everyone is up to date on projects.

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Strong knowledge of distributed platforms (IBM AIX, Linux, and Sun Solaris) 
• Knowledge of Windows Server environment 
• Websphere experience
• Knowledge of Tivoli PROLOG language used in TEC scripts. 
• Knowledge of UNIX-based CIM implementations.
• The ability to learn new technologies and programming languages as necessary 
• Strong organizational, follow-up and priority-setting skills to handle multiple tasks/projects and to work independently. 
• The ability to remain flexible with shifting priorities and ability to function under deadlines with minimal supervision. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Strong technical background and ability to work effectively with developers and technical architects. 
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and estimation skills. 
• Self-motivation with delivery focus and ability to interact with all levels of the organization. 
• The ability to work with tight deadlines and changing priorities. 
• The ability to work on multiple concurrent projects. 
• The ability to work both in teams and individually. Will be working with Ibm Tivoli Monitoring 6.x and Tivoli Netcool Omnibus. 
• Strong communication, organization and are self reliant
