About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Asset Analyst for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in the Oakville.
Requirements:
The I.T. Asset Analyst – Financial Management Specialist is responsible for planning, tracking, reconciling and administering the day to day financial expenses related to all technology components under the responsibility of Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS). This analyst is also responsible for liasing between Finance, Accounting and EIS management to plan and administer Capital finances.
- EIS Expense Planning and Management
- Consult with managers to plan expense requirements for their area of technical responsibility
- Reconcile expenses to plan/reforecast
- Ensure accruals are complete as required by Accounting
- Maintain accurate financial information within ITAM systems
- Participate in re-forecasts
- Liaison with Finance and Accounting to obtain guidance on expense/capital allocation, provide information and assistance as required
- Prepare expense forecasts
- Review quotes for RFI proposals for accounting and plan/reforecast impact
- Create and execute purchase requisitions and PO's
- Prepare ad hoc financial reporting
- Receive invoices, validate and process, resolve invoicing issues with vendors
- Coordinate with IT Asset Analyst - Resources to incorporate education expenses
- EIS Capital Planning and Management
- Consolidate EIS needs and coordinate with Finance
- Manage dollars allocated to capital and ensure within Plan
- Participate in capital changes and be able to explain the expenses planned
- Liaison with EIS management and Finance regarding Capital requirements
- Review quotes for RFI proposal for accounting and plan/reforecast impact
- Create and execute capital authorizations/ requisitions and PO's
- Receive invoices, validate and process, resolve invoicing issues with vendor
Qualified Candidates will have:
- Financial degree with focus on information technology is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on urgency and client impact
- Extra attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Extensive experience and skill with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Lotus Notes and Peregrine Asset Centre would be nice, but is not a requirement
