Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Top Secret Cleared Storage Architect for a 480 day contract opportunity. The positions are located in Ottawa, Ontario. Top Secret/Secret Project requires resources to have an IM/IT focus in the definition, development and delivery of IT Infrastructure services. The project requires these resources to develop, implement and maintain a set of standardized IT systems architectures and services for all users within the department (5000+ users).

Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
· 10+ years of cumulative experience in performing the function of a Storage Architect, including: planning, architecting and designing, and evaluating; and installing, testing, building, and analysing storage infrastructures, performance, capacity, and backup/ recovery
· 3+ years of experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and/or procedures for storage provisioning
· 3+ years of cumulative experience in developing strategies for storage optimization (including consolidation, centralization, and virtualization)
· Demonstrated 3 years of experience in troubleshooting deviations from planned performance and other storage related activities
· 2+ years of in developing, modifying, and maintaining system architecture and design documents
· 3+ years cumulative experience in the Storage Area Network (SAN) and Storage technologies including: SAN Network, Distance Replication, Resource Management, SAN Fabric installation and configuration; SAN Disk Storage Architecture plan, design, implement); Storage Virtualization, De-duplication; Tape Storage, Disaster Recovery for Open systems; and SAN Virtualization, Switching and Routing (Cisco, Brocade)
· 3+ years of experience in SAN switching and routing setup (including Brocade and Cisco) in a data centre or in a computer facility with 300+ servers and 2+ storage platforms such as: Hitachi/IBM/EMC/HP/NetApp
· Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Certified Professional.
· Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering Degree and/or Technical Diploma(s) in an IT related field.
· Demonstrated experience in conducting technology analysis in any of the following: Tape library, tapes and costs; Storage security; Storage virtualization; Storage optimization in supporting VDI/VMware View 5 or latest technology; and Storage in supporting vSphere 5 (or latest version).
· Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing a Storage Management tool (eg. NetApp onCommand).
· Demonstrated experience conducting configuration management in the following storage infrastructures: EMC Symmetrix; DMX-4 / Clariion or latest storage technology; IBM DS8100 series or latest version; and HDS USP/AMS or latest version.
· MUST HAVE A VALID TOP SECRET CLEARANCE
