Our client has a requirement for an Solution Developer for a 6 Month Contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role:

The Compliance team within Corporate Segment Technology Solutions is responsible for the delivery and support of the technology solutions for the Compliance business across the enterprise. Regulatory compliance demands continue to grow, increasing the demand for technology to deliver solutions to enable the financial bank to proactively and efficiently remain compliant. Some examples of projects and applications currently serviced by the team include the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) system, FINTRAC reporting of suspicious and large cash transactions and Integration projects.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced IT Solutions Developer to undertake analysis, design and development in various compliance applications. The position requires a self-starter with proven experience delivering high quality solutions.

This individual would to need to have strong ETL and UNIX experience, knowledge of SLQ queries and SAS knowledge. This individual would also need to e able to write up design, convert business requirements to SRS and convert SRS to SDS and complete functional testing. 

Must Have:
·         ETL and UNIX experience 
·         Knowledge of SQL queries 
·         SAS knowledge (SAS macro would be nice to have) 
·         SDS, SRS, SDLC 
·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
·         Strong analytical & problem solving skills

Nice to Have:
·         Quality Centre and MKS experience. 
·         Aix admin, Database admin 
·         WebSphere 
·         Candidates with SAS knowledge/experience is preferred (recent would be preferred) with strong ability to write SDS and SRS.

Key Accountabilities:
·         Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs, organization's client and server software. 
·         Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. 
·         Performs a variety of tasks. 
·         Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. 
·         A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. 
·         Develops code (writes software application programs). 
·         Codes, tests, implements and creates system documentation for computer programs. 
·         Interacts with customers to define system requirements and priorities. Able to lead subsystem designs and participate in system design projects. 
·         Translates business requirements into system requirements specifications (SRS). 
·         Translates SRS into System Design Specifications (SDS). 
·         Analyzes, resolves, or assists others in resolving production problems.
·         Develops and Test ETL software using SQL, Unix Shell Scripts. 
·         Provide detailed analysis of problems and recommends solutions with PROS and Cons. 
·         Writes, tests and debugs code. Participates in code reviews. 
·         Comply with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. 
·         Ensure consistency in coding standards. 
·         Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term. 
·         Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation as required.
