Job Description

One of our financial services hiring managers is looking for Senior Oracle/Business Objects/.Net Developer to join the  team in Toronto for a 6month contract.

Responsibilities 

One of our financial services managers is looking for a Senior Developer to join their team for a 6 month contract. Their department deals with a trading application integration. This person will be a core member involved in the release of the packaged applications. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the full SDLC and a strong understanding of the discipline of having a good control release practice.

•     Integration of web components – 25% of the work is around the web 

      components and 75% is around other components (which include Oracle,

      Unix, Business Objects, .NET, and testing and integration)

•     Taking in enhancement requirements and developing them to be ready for

      User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT).

•     .NET coding on the trading applications

•     Maintenance releases, bug fixes and additional enhancements

•     Involvement in the regular release of the packaging process

  

Qualifications

•     Years of experience: 10+

•     Extensive Oracle development experience

•     Business Objects experience

•     .Net Web Development experience

•     VB Scripting; familiarity on both Unix and Wintel platforms

•     Unix

•     VSF (Visual Source Safe) – version control application

•     Java

•     Knowledge of Clear Case and Clear Quest

•     Strong knowledge of the SDLC

•     Capital Markets or financial industry experience

TOP 3 MUST HAVE SKILLS:

•     Oracle

•     Business Objects

•     .NET
