The position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to leverage your prior experience in Checkpoint and ASA Firewall(s) and VPN infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
Purpose:   

Develop, implement and manage Checkpoint and ASA Firewall(s) and VPN infrastructure.  Develop, implement and manage network intrusion detection systems.  Develop, implement and manage security event capture, reporting and correlation systems using Cisco Mars. Validate the security posture of the organization using Data Loss Prevention tools.

Core Accountabilities:

·      Engineer, implement and manage Checkpoint and ASA Firewall(s) and VPN infrastructure
·      Engineer, implement and manage network intrusion detection systems using either ISS Proventia or SNORT
·      Engineer, implement and manage security event capture, reporting and correlation systems using current SIM tools like MARS or Q1 radar
·      Support, monitor and develop Entrust radius and two factor authentication server.
·      Perform security reviews and audits to identify network/system security issues.
·      Conduct external and internal vulnerability scans (on periodic basis) using Nessus or similar products.
·      Develop and support Websense Enterprise Security suite.
·      Manage and support Cisco Access Control Server
·      Perform periodic security audits
·      Evaluate new and emerging products and technologies
·      Apply in depth technical expertise to guide and direct others in their area of technical responsibility
·      Drive Results through effective communication of ideas and solutions
·      Support and mentor other IT associates
·      May act in the capacity of supervisor
·      Participate in hardware and/or software studies and provide recommendations to management on study results

o    Client’s IT associates and all levels of management
o    Key business contacts
o    Vendors
o    Reports to Manager IT Security

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·      Possess a comprehensive understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite and the inherent vulnerabilities
·      Possess an encompassing knowledge of server based communication and OS vulnerabilities over multiple platforms (windows/Unix/Linux)
·      Excellent verbal and written communications skills
·      MS Office Product Experience
·      In depth specialized knowledge of concerts, processes and activities
·      Advanced and specialized expertise in multiple technologies developed through training and experience
·      Subject Matter Expert in area of Active Directory and Red Hat directory server
·      Applies advanced analytical interpretation and problem solving

Education/Experience Required:

·      2 – 4 year college degree or technical training certification
·      5 - 8 years of professional experience
