Technology Infrastructure Support Specialist / Level 2

Job Description
Our GTA client has a requirement for an Infrastructure Support Specialist for a 6 months contract located in Toronto.


Deliverables
•Support of servers, application systems, troubleshooting, enhancements & maintenance
•Provide support on software issues in response to end user requests
•Monitor the network environment (LAN or external client service network) to ensure that problems are identified and resolved
•Provide troubleshooting and optimization for technical problems within an area
•Create user accounts and support users in accessing network resources
•Track and control the change management process within a project
•Participate in ongoing process improvement, and recommend process change
•Sign off on application upgrades
•Provide feedback to Project Manager regarding progress, barriers and strategies to deliver the project
•Create user documentation with regards to the above deliverables
•Create, update and augment operational run books and deployment guides with regards to the above deliverables
•Provide in depth analysis of all issues that arise and document the analysis and results
•Provide support on hardware issues and work with vendors to address the issue
•Provide cross functional team support as required or requested by the Project Manager
•Manage all defined operational processes and policies as defined


Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 
•University Degree or relevant certification in this area or equivalent 5 years industry experience.
•2 years experience working in a NOC environment.
•Knowledge and experience using JIRA.
•Knowledge and experience using FootPrints.
•Knowledge and experience using Hyperic and Splunk.
•Knowledge and experience support Citrix.
•Experience supporting windows server 2003 and 2008.
•Experience performing root cause analysis.
•Experience working with external vendors on root cause analysis.
•Experience in high paced, multi-task, multi-application support environments.
•Experience working in environments meeting aggressive SLA.
•Experience with cross functional team support in an operations and/or infrastructure group.
•Experience in the healthcare environment.
•Experience with Human Resource and Financial systems.
•Experience with support requests in Quadrant and Microsoft’s Great Plains Dynamics server environments.
•Operations experience in a technical health care environment
•Experience in operational in depth level troubleshooting and enterprise level support environment

•Ability to handle various priorities and deliver on time
•Excellent management of client relationships
•The role may require on-call support
•The role may require varying operational support work hours
•The role may require travel from office locations
