About the Job
The primary purpose of this role is the IT Operation Specialist will be working in conjunction with the Development Projects Lead, and the Director of Operations. They will also assume responsibility for managing day to day IT requirements and supporting the user community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for daily routines and troubleshoot/document as necessary:
- Daily, weekly, monthly checklists – including reporting administration, backups, and monitoring server logs.
- Scan/Pack labelling & shipping operations in the warehouse
- Inbound EDI and conversion for Order Entry and Outbound EDI ASN & Invoices and resolving problems as they occur
- Website administration
- Workstation/User support as necessary – confirming our inventory, licensing worksheets, and deployment standards
- Review Mail archive and shared/group filing process for space and user training considerations.
Requirements or Qualifications
- 1st/2nd level operational support of the user community, proactively recognizing trends and training needs.
- Experience administering Microsoft Exchange and both 2003/2008 Active Directory platforms with Windows XP and Windows 7 workstations, Sonicwall VPN, Symantec Backups, Kapersky AntiVirus, Canon Multifunction printing devices, Thermal printers, hand scanners.
- Graphical experience – MAC OS and Windows integration, photoshop, illustrator
- Microsoft Fax
- Norstar/Avaya BCM phone
- Blackberry and iPhone support
Other Desired Skills
- Knowledge of JDE OneWorld applications, Security or CNC functions
- Visual Basic or C++ experience
- SQL, Access or other Query tools
- CrystalReports Experience
- Knowledge of EDI transactions and data exchange
- Experience developing and supporting Internet applications (server platforms and languages). Magento shopping cart and SEO.
- UPS/Fedex shipping application software and related printers
