About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Project Leader / Level 2 for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.


Responsibilities:
Lead the Development of OHRS standards for the Community Health Sector.  Responsibilities include:
• Manage direct resources and prioritize deliverables to ensure timelines are met.     
• Lead applicable Advisory Working Group and contribute to Steering Committee Presentations.
• Contribute to and assist in maintaining the implementation plan for Community Health Centres (CHC) adopting the OHRS/MIS-compliant financial/statistical software solution.
• Provide regular project updates, communicate and enable project team to achieve results; participate in engagement and milestone meetings with the project team and stakeholders, providing OHRS and financial/statistical software expertise.
• Provide subject matter expertise, with regards to accounting, financial and statistical software requirements, Community Health Centres and OHRS reporting, in the procurement process and throughout the implementation of an OHRS/MIS-compliant financial/statistical software solution to CHCs in Ontario.
• Monitor requests from organizations in analyzing needs for conversion of data from internal Chart of Accounts (COA) to OHRS based COA in the selected financial/statistical software solution.
• Communicate with end-users and project team regarding issues with software configurations or system performance to support OHRS compliance and financial and statistical business processes.
• Responsible for identifying and mitigating risks where possible, identify and communicate the escalation processes for any project related issues.
• Liaise with integration (business implementation) team to design, develop and implement OHRS reporting standards in financial and statistical software into individual CHCs.
• Oversee the development of individual User Acceptance Test plans for CHCs voluntarily adopting the software, ensuring that CHC business requirements are implemented in the software & can therefore be operationalized for daily usage.
• Research the sector using publically available information, sector materials and CHC materials such as sector documents, financial statements, websites etc. to identify requirements for the sector
• Conduct site visits to further project understanding of the sector, validating business and software requirements; identify gaps.
• Prepare project documentation related to site visits, including agenda, interview questions and trip reports
• Provide direction to team on supporting CHCs implementing a financial/statistical software solution and submission process using the new system.
• Working closely with the Project Mgr to coordinate project implementation activities
• Provide regular implementation updates to Project Manager.
• Facilitate the completion of all assigned action items.
• Contribute to the design and development of “Best Practice” business processes and information flows related to the sector organizations


Qualified Candidates will have:
 • 3+ years Project Leadership and/or management of resources
• Experience with use and/or implementation of financial and statistical systems and/or standards
• Accounting designation and/or accounting experience
• Not-for-profit accounting experience
• In depth knowledge of Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards and Health care experience, CHC knowledge or experience is an asset
• Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Project leadership experience in one or more of the following areas:
   ◦Stakeholder engagement and management
   ◦Managing the implementation activities associated with large projects
   ◦Development of accounting related standards
   ◦Implementation of financial and statistical systems and/or financial and statistical standards
• In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards
• Experience with the healthcare sector, preferably community care, with Community Health Centre experience considered an asset
• Accounting Designation (Chartered Accountant preferred) or 7 years of equivalent experience
• A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  Experience with accounting for not-for-profit orgs is considered an asset.
• Experience developing strong client relationships and understanding client perspective and needs
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
• A track record for meeting deadlines
• Ability to work in teams
• Experience with risk and issue management, resolution & escalation processes
• Project Management knowledge and experience
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills
• Experience leading diverse, multi-disciplined project teams in meeting project goals
