Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Marketing Assistant for a 6 month contract (renewable) opportunity.  The position is located in Mississauga.

Responsibilities:
This role manages all the programs and activities focusing on the local breadth channel through Distribution and supports execution of the marketing programs to achieve sales performance goals.
• Marketing Program Execution: Plan and execute Marketing programs on a quarterly basis. Ongoing follow up with marketing contacts to monitor sales and program execution. Attend floor walks to emphasize and drive awareness of marketing programs with Distribution reps.
Key Strengths: Project Management, Multi-Tasking, and Communication

• Program management includes: Maintaining the Central website and Newsletter, Content Syndication, Live meeting webinars, Co-op management. Most of these programs involve content leveraged from Corp and localized and disseminated with the help of an agency. Strong written skills are required for editing and creating some content that is targeted to the SMB audience. We use agencies to help with execution but a strong working relationship and ability to give clear direction is required. Key Strengths: Written Communication, Experience working with agencies

• Marketing analytics for programs supported by team

• Budget Management: Lead the Marketing Budget set- up, monthly reconciliations, complete all the required marketing activity reporting. There are internal tools in place to manage this.

• Administrative support includes: Creating a "Monday Morning Memo" that consolidates all the marketing programs in channel on a weekly basis for the team. Create marketing materials on demand, usually within short time lines utilizing the on-site agency. Contributing to the marketing deck and presenting programs to the team on a monthly basis.


Requirement or Qualifications:
  • Excellent project management (planning, execution, follow up, analysis)
  • Strong office suite skills (must be well versed in excel including pivot tables)
  • Ability to analyze data and results of marketing programs
  • Strong communication skills - written and oral
  • Strong admin skills (multitasking/attention to detail)
  • Completed post secondary degree in marketing or equivalent + 3 years of related work experience
  • Proven ability to work with agencies
  • Proven ability to manage a budget
  • Ability to manage a programmatic engine
  • Good interpersonal skills and comfortable presenting in front of a small group (internal and to partners)
  • Creating SMB programs and working with partners is preferable
