Repair and Overhaul Specialist

The Repair & Overhaul Specialist 1 will be responsible for processing high value equipment, assemblies and component parts for Repair and Overhaul (R&O) in support of various programs and customers both internal and external.


REPSONSIBILITIES
  • Process all R&O functions on the EBS Oracle system
  • Efficiently manage all R&O shipments on GD Canada MRP system to maintain a 90 day Turn Around Time (TAT).
  • Assist with annual stock-taking of all R&O Accounts.
  • Assist in conducting immediate audit of item(s) during any R&O reconciliation process.
  • Utilize EBS transactions to verify all R&O Work Order costs.
  • Process Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Ensure all Equipment History Files are maintained correctly for audit purposes.
  • Ensure all safety regulations, ESD & WHMIS procedures are adhered.
  • Ensure  all Security & COMSEC procedures are adhered to.
  • Report on key quality and output data relevant to the team
  • Perform other related duties as required by the R&O Manager.
  • Oversight and management of auditable R & O files such as:  GDC work orders, failure reports, purchase orders, shipping instructions
  • Maintains accurate records of all units by serial number for all R&O purposes.
  • Responsible for Department of National Defence specialized paperwork including: work orders, waybills, Consignment Authorization and Receipt Forms, Material Condition tags (CF942 tags), Selection Notice and Priority Summary (SNAPS), Stop Repair Repairable Reserve (SRRs), Special Instructions (SPINs), Selection Notice Amendment List (SNALs), and others directed by ALM 184 (Special Instructions Repair and Overhaul Contractors)
  • Maintain custodial care and control of all customer provided R &  O equipment in GDC’s possession
  • All other duties as required

  • Proficient with Oracle EBS R & O Module
  • Able to move light to heavy equipment and safely lift 25-50lbs repeatedly
  • Must be knowledgeable in applicable rules and regulations regarding Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Electrostatic Discharge  (ESD) and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System WHMIS


REQUIRED EDUCATION
·         Must hold Level 2 – Secret with COMSEC briefing clearances
  • High School Diploma and 1-3 years relevant experience, or equivalent. A college certificate relevant to the field is an asset.


CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLASSIFICATION
Must be Canadian citizen, and eligible to acquire a Level II (NATO Secret) security classification.
