Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for Project Leader for 6 months contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.
Deliverables
- Developing, tracking and executing project plans for a variety of Projects, including French translation of materials and following the requirements within the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and ensuring branding is followed correctly.
- Reviewing the quality of communications products written in or translated into French to ensure clarity, consistency, correct mechanics, tone, style, readability and conformity
- Revising & adapting translations of documents to ensure accuracy
- Translating short texts and editing translated materials, where appropriate
- Working in a team environment where the volume of work is sometimes high and priorities change frequently
- Coordinate internal working groups and other related activities and gather project requirements.
- Coordinate and gather input from external stakeholders and subject matter experts to contribute to Project activities, as needed.
- Identify risks, issues and action plans and develop a risk management and issue resolution plan.
- Provide regular project plan updates and facilitate prompt escalation of issues and risks to the Team Lead and Management Team
- Monitor discrepancies and linkage across project streams
- Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., Translation service vendors) to ensure that functional best practices and process efficiencies are applied across initiatives
Qualifications
- Bilingual – Complete Fluency required (verbal and written)
- Strong Project management skills
- Experience creating and managing French/English communication documents, instructional material and web content.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams
- Ability to juggle priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail, focus on quality and client service
- Familiarity with Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001 and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and related regulations would be an asset
- Understanding & appreciation of challenges faced by persons with disabilities.
