About the Job

Our client has a requirement for an EDI / Websphere Programming Specialist for a 1 year contract opportunity.  The position is located in Scarborough, ON.

Role

The group will work closely with the Business and Vendors in providing cost effective transfer solutions for the bank. The team provides customized data mapping (EDI, XML and proprietary), and supports protocols: TCP/IP, HTTPS, SNA, VAN, Fax and Email using industry standard products, protocols and security methodologies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Leadership for the provision of technical expertise in development and support of activities, processes, procedures and tools for protecting information security with a focus on application security plan
• Coordinate and supervise complex informatics assignments
• Design and apply new methods and procedures
• Solve business problems by providing detailed technical advice
•  Coordinate, lead and monitor technical systems inquiries
•  Liaise with vendors and service suppliers
•  Support and lead solutions with service providers
• Certify satisfactory contract performance for systems development

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Experience with Foresight product 
• Experience with WTX (Websphere Transformation Extender) 
• Experience with BusinessConnect and BusinessWorks 
• Experience with the EDISIM product and developing business rules within the EDISIM product 
• Experience with X12 EDI, NCPDP (a plus), EDIFACT EDI, flat files 
• Experience with different transaction sets in X12 and messages in EDIFACT 
• Windows Operating systems experience
• Experience in the design, building, implementation, and/or support of EDI solutions 
• Databases - SQL Server, Access, Oracle experience
• Experience with SQL and Oracle databases, including ODBC mapping 
• IT expertise in systems programming or network management
• Team leadership experience
