Job Description:
 The Network and Desktop Application support specialist is responsible for the day to day workstation operation and maintenance and user application support. Assists in the administration and maintenance of portal extranet site, document management system and provide support to network operations team as needed. Address incoming user requests and escalations; provide a high level of in-house customer service and IT incident/problem management. In addition, the specialist will respond to user requests and provide assistance in training for wireless and mobile devices. The support specialist will liaise with both helpdesk and network teams, providing both troubleshooting and user support.


Must Have:
  • College diploma in computer technology or a related field is required.
  • 7+ years of technical support experience in large-scale, windows domain environment
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver quality documentation
  • Analyze possible solutions and assess each using standard procedures
  • PC & MAC based operating systems, hardware, peripherals, and applications
  • MS Office Suite, MS Exchange 2010, MS SharePoint 2010,
  • SQL (ODBC) and other database applications
  • Adobe Applications
  • VoIP and PBX systems
  • Blackberry Enterprise Server
  • Mobile devices and tablets (BB/iOS/Android)


Nice to Have:
  • Professional certifications are considers assets.
  • ITIL certification is considered an asset.
  • Work extended hours including weekends and take regular on-call shifts may be required.
  • Customer service focused and detail-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to assist with non-standard requests
