About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Mainframe Developer for a six month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga, ON.

Role
The successful candidate will be a developer to join the team in the test environment management mainframe environment.
Responsibilities
Support and maintenance of the test environments are prime responsibilities:
- Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions. Anticipate obstacles and execute proactive approaches to issues. Active participation in issue resolution.
- Responsible for coding, testing, packaging, deployment and support of builds of the test environments.
- Ensure Test environments are fully functional and that builds are properly deployed.
- Provide technical support to business and testing teams during testing phases.
- Data set up and environment shake down.
- Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.
Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
- Must have strong skills and working experience in mainframe MVS, COBOL, JCL Utilities, and databases such as DB2 and/or IMS
