Project Manager

Job Description: 
Our client has a requirement for Project Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Missisauga, Ontario. 
 
Requirement or Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day to day project activities of medium complexity or units/phases of a larger complex project Plan, execute, control and close out project against defined scope and budget. Utilize accepted standards and procedures. Maintain team relationships and team coaching and development. Manage stakeholder expectations. Manage risk and ensure compliance.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and execution of several medium complexity projects.
 
Key accountabilities are 
  • Works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.
  • Manages activities of medium complexity projects. Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
  • Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure to meet schedules.
  • Strong involvement in business IMO.
  • Management of small to large projects (ranging in size from $400K to M), including multiple internal applications and external vendors.
  • Estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, budget, risk and resources.
  • Accountability for project budget and time lines.

 
SKILLS:
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing IT projects.
  • Full life cycle development experience.
  • Experience with proven project methodology tools.
  • PMI or ITIL certification.
  • Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint.


MUST HAVES
  • Strong PMLC/ SDLC
  • E-Reporting experience
  • Superior communication / interpersonal skills
  • Strong Risk Mitigation experience correlated on the resume
  • Full Lifecycle Project Management from inception to completion
  • Strong MS Project/ Excel / Vision/ PowerPoint
  • Must be able to translate business/technical documentation
  • Strong negotiation /impact-influencing skills
  • MUST be able to work autonomously, with minimal supervision
  • Be Resourceful
  • References will be requested when down to the wire
  • MUST have enterprise-experience from a Infrastructure Background
