Business Analyst

The Consultant will be responsible to provide the following Services and Deliverables:
  • Holding discovery/JAD sessions to gather the requirements for RUSMP project;
  • Analysing and mapping of existing processes/data to future to-be" processes/data;
  • Creating/updating of system requirements, including the development and maintenance of business and system use case specifications;
  • Identification of problems/issues along with mitigation strategies;
  • Documentation of all artefacts in a shared project library;
  • Working closely with business architect, subject matter experts, developers, and other members of the team working on the project;
  • Effective knowledge transfer to our client and I&IT Cluster staff at all stages of this assignment;
  • Review and feedback of technical design documents;
  • Timely contribution to enterprise architecture development from a conceptual view;
  • Use of Ministry mandated requirement management tools for requirements specification Rational Enterprise Architect; and
  • Proven ability to perform successfully in completing an assignment of this nature, magnitude and complexity.

The Consultant must be able to demonstrate skills, knowledge and experience in the following at the specified experience level as gained through work on a project(s) similar in size and scope to this one:
 
  • Extensive experience in Road User Safety and Ministry of Transportation programs and services;
  • Experience with SOA architecture;
  • Knowledge with SDLC and structured methodologies waterfall and iterative;
  • Knowledge and experience with Zachman Framework (Rows 1 - 3);
  • Demonstrable experience with Sybase Power Designer for requirement management;
  • Demonstrable experience with Business Object Oriented Modeling, UML tools and techniques;
  • Demonstrable skills and experience with documenting:  (a) Business requirements/rules, (b) Business process models, (c) Data requirements / models (d) Business and System use cases, (e) Functional requirements, and (f) Non-functional requirements; and
  • Proven experience with JAD facilitation, interpret business needs to technical requirements, project meetings for reviews
