About the job:
Our client has a requirement for Technology Architect for a 3 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

To acquire the services of a Technical Architect Level 3 to act as a Network subject matter expert on the GDC projects. The Technical Architect may act independently and/or lead a team of Designers, Technical Consultants and other stakeholders in a matrix management environment to:
• Collect Information;
• Evaluate client requirements;
• Develop costs and associated prices, and;
• Develop implementation plans.
The Technical Architect will deliver the ITS eSTD standard design documents and related collateral for each of the projects following standard ITS processes
• Complete Client Letters of Intent
• Complete Client Requirement Documents
• Complete Blueprint
• Compete Client Proposals
• Facilitate Solutions through Quality and Solution Acceptance
• Contribute to related RFCs
• Contribute to related PCRs
The Technical Architect will also be required to:
• Provide solutions status on the various projects being worked on
• Provide reports as required
The Technology Architect should have an appropriate understanding and experience with many or all of the following:
· Industry current Network Technology, including routers, switches, firewalls from various vendors (Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper);
· N-tiered Datacenter design;
· IT Design Methodologies;
· Experience with Ontario Government IT practices, standards, policies, etc...
Other :
· Work will take place in Toronto and Guelph.
