About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Sr. Consultant IT-PMO for an 18 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.
Requirements or Qualifications
You will have successfully developed and implemented a consistent and standardized I & IT project management methodology including defining standards and guidelines for project management and reporting based on best practices. Experience must include setting up and running two enterprise level IT Project Management Offices in a mid- to large-sized firm (Setting up and running a Program Management Office for a $100 million initiative may be substituted for one enterprise PMO leadership role). You will have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on IT project management in a mid- to large-sized company, leading enterprise projects or programs over $30 million.
Qualified Candidates will have:
- University degree in one of the following Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration. Technical qualification in project management (PgMP, PM Masters, PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification) is required.
- Additional certification in CGEIT (Certificate in the Governance of Enterprise IT), CMMi, ITIL, or other IT-related discipline would be an asset.
- Experience with enterprise IT organizations that support multiple business teams, and that compete for IT resources. Has operated a program and project governance framework and overseen project gating. Has demonstrated capabilities to ensure proper approval process, methods, standards and project management best practices are consistently applied and tracked. Has applied effective governance for externally managed I&IT projects
- Knowledge and understanding of enterprise project management and collaboration tools such as MSFT Project Server, Clarity, Ecosys Enterprise, Aconex an asset.
