Job Description
The position involves direction, supervision, and training of more junior personnel in the design, selection, specification, procurement, and installation of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, agitators, shaft seals, bearing assemblies, and related ancillaries. In addition to these home office responsibilities, the successful candidate will support field engineering and construction personnel as part of an integrated commissioning team. The successful candidate will also assist with technical development, personnel management, staff recruiting and training, estimating and proposal development for the business unit.
Please note that you must be willing to travel - go on remote construction/project sites.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10+) years experience in one or more of the mineral processing, metals extraction, petroleum refining, or chemical process industry (CPI) sectors.
- Professional engineering designation (P.Eng.) or equivalent (i.e. Higher National Certification) with qualifications necessary for obtaining professional registration in the Province of Ontario.
- Significant field experience in construction, commissioning, start-up, or operation & maintenance of rotating mechanical equipment.
- Working knowledge of North American Codes and Standards such as ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, API 620/650, API 674/675, ANSI B73.1, and ASTM materials & testing standards. Excellent spoken and written English.
- Fluency in Spanish is desirable, but not a pre-requisite
