About the Job

Our client has a requirement for Senior Compliance Analyst for a six month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role

The senior compliance analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the compliance and enforcement of the security processes within the first line of operation. Main responsibilities include providing support in identifying, analyzing and implementing security framework, security systems and security compliance processes.


Responsibilities

  • Creates and documents security operational procedures in order to comply with security policy and operational framework
  • Provides process guidance as required to ensure security compliance and operational governance
  • Participates in internal and external audits in the gathering all required operational evidences for auditors
  • Produces, reviews and updates documentation and reports to ensure compliancy to applicable audit requirements and/or regulations
  • Participates and review in Change Management, Problem Management, Incident Management, and Inventory Management activities based on the ITIL framework -Participates and document in Disaster Recovery planning and Business Continuity planning exercises to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance
  • Provides training and awareness to internal team in areas of security compliance requirement as required
  • Assesses, implements and monitors compliance controls and reports on these to improve overall security posture

 Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Possesses good written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning in a dynamic environment
  • Exhibits good analysis skills
  •  Is self motivated and team oriented
  • Possesses a university degree/college diploma in Science or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years IT industry experience (infrastructure, application, operations, Info Security and compliance)
  • Must have 3+ years of Information Security experience and compliance controls experience
  • Completion of security certifications (CISSP/CISA) is considered an asset
  • Demonstrates solid knowledge of the standard operating platforms, system administration, network administration, development process and security process
  • Displays advanced technical currency in PKI, Access/Identity Management, secure authentication, change management and incident management, RACF, TSO
  • Exhibits advanced knowledge of security processes, ISO27001 controls
