Our client has a requirement for 2 - 3 Systems Integration - Programmers for a 6 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.
We are looking for two to three candidates to hire based on the following order of experience: familiar with working in Unix environments is a must, Unix shell scripting, Perl and database. Candidates must have good communication skills, good troubleshooting skills, multi-tasking skills, quick learner, and have an understanding of batching environments and parallel computing.
The candidates will batch Unix scripting and use look-up/queries using SQL databases and also monitor the system to ensure batches are completed on a daily basis.
The candidate will be working within a group that is responsible for the development and support of in-house Market and Credit Risk systems.
This individual will be responsible for:
•Designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining scripts and processes to help automate tasks and integrate diverse systems, using full software development life cycle processes.
•Wrapping, packaging, deployment and support of builds as code is promoted through development, user acceptance testing, and production environments.
•Participating in the implementation and maintenance of source control and release procedures
•Providing support to business and testing teams
Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
•Expertise with Unix shell (BASH, SH, KSH shell)
•Expertise with Perl
•Understands parallel computing and distributed platforms (Sun Grid Engine preferred).
•Experience working with Oracle, Sybase and/or mySQL databases. (Please note the Oracle/Sybase/SQL requirements is more of a "one of these is good", rather than that they would need all 3)
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Be organized, self-motivating, and a team player and able to multi-task.
•Proven problem solving capabilities.
•Understand business requirements as they relate to operational processes.
•Familiarity with version control tools (CVS).
•Familiarity with HTML and XML.
•Experience with large scale architectural design and the ability to implement within such an environment.
•Knowledge of the Market and Credit Risk businesses (nice to have but not a must).

The person will be starting in July and the duration of the assignment will be between 14 and 18 months, but it could be extended based on business needs, etc.
These are the qualifications required and the responsibilities of the role.
Key Qualifications:
•We would like to have someone that either has previous experience using or supporting Avantis (or other Procurement systems/ERP’s or CMMS tool) or knowledge of the Business Process supported by the application (Procurement, Inventory Mgmt, Asset Mgmt). Both would be great.

Our client has requirement for multiple Systems Integrators for permanent fulltime role. The positions are located in London, Ontario
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Systems Integration team is responsible for integrating our client and server components into a state-of-the-art network and digital cable environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Integrate our software with complex 3rd party vendor solutions (VOD, PVR, IPTV)
•Actively work with our development and support teams to troubleshoot software issues
•Create and execute integration test cases to validate system requirements
•Carry out client/server performance analysis and capacity planning
•Determine optimal software/hardware configurations for product releases
•Perform end-to-end network traffic and bandwidth analysis
•Create detailed installation and configuration documentation for our software

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Senior Middleware SME

About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Senior Middleware SME for a six month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working within the change management guidelines to install, configure, deploy and support Web Sphere WAS 6, 7, ND and XS environments. They will act as the middleware SME assigned to projects, apply and implement the middleware solutions throughout the dev to prod stages, prepare the detailed design and liaise between various other teams.
Responsibilities:
•Design and configure the desired assets in WebSphere for projects and applications.
•Engage in business projects to configure the runtime environment and troubleshooting the Application. Diagnose and resolve issues that arise in the WAS infrastructure (application, environment, hardware, performance, etc…)
•Participate in performance testing and tuning exercises of WAS solutions
•Maintain and analyze server performance
•Coordinate and schedule environment upgrades
•System capacity planning and maintenance
•Provide consultation and analysis to identify process improvements to reduce test time, cost and improve quality/accuracy/efficiency
•Interact with both internal and external technical community as well as interact with Infrastructure Architects on large business project

Our client has a requirement for SAP Business Objects 4.0 Developer
for a 6 months Contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto, Ontario
Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
Our GTA client is looking for a SAP Business Objects Developer to join their team. This is a renewable 6 month contract located in Toronto.
•Utilize experience to integrating, designing and building reports to create clinical and aggregate reports for the IAR. SAP Business Objects Enterprise BI 4.0 is used, with report design tools SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise BI 4.0, SAP Business Objects Dashboard Design (Xcelsius) BI 4.0. IAR is using Oracle 10g database.
•Support system and user acceptance testing activities.
•Escalate issues as appropriately to the Integrated Assessment project lead
•Liaise with IAR technical and business teams
•Create and maintain appropriate documentation, including report design, deployment and configuration instructions
•provide analysis, develop and support Crystal reports;
•assist in troubleshooting and performance enhancements;
•provide documentation and knowledge transfer to business users.
•Develop reports using Crystal Reports (Business Objects XI) and Microsoft Reporting Services
•Create stored procedures and queries for reporting using Microsoft T-SQL
•Work with business users, analysts, and data warehouse architects toward the design and development of optimal BI solutions
Mandatory Skills:
•4+ years experience in the full life cycle development with Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL in a Windows production environment.
•3+ years of Experience in developing reports with Crystal Reports.
•Knowledge of ASP a plus.
•Ability to work independently under minimum supervision

Our GTA client is looking for a SAP Business Objects Developer to join their team. This is a renewable 6 month contract located in Toronto.
•Utilize experience to integrating, designing and building reports to create clinical and aggregate reports for the IAR. SAP Business Objects Enterprise BI 4.0 is used, with report design tools SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise BI 4.0, SAP Business Objects Dashboard Design (Xcelsius) BI 4.0. IAR is using Oracle 10g database.
•Support system and user acceptance testing activities.
•Escalate issues as appropriately to the Integrated Assessment project lead
•Liaise with IAR technical and business teams
•Create and maintain appropriate documentation, including report design, deployment and configuration instructions
•provide analysis, develop and support Crystal reports;
•assist in troubleshooting and performance enhancements;
•provide documentation and knowledge transfer to business users.
•Develop reports using Crystal Reports (Business Objects XI) and Microsoft Reporting Services
•Create stored procedures and queries for reporting using Microsoft T-SQL
•Work with business users, analysts, and data warehouse architects toward the design and development of optimal BI solutions

Our client has a requirement for two Windows Application Packagers for a 12 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in London, ON.
This is for Software packaging to be deployed in a large enterprise environment. The individual will be part of the desktop team- which is responsible for supporting the Desktop Infrastructures of approximately 42,000 desktops.
Overview of Responsibilities:
The Application Packager is responsible for building and customizing software application packages which are to be deployed seamlessly to the various desktops architectures with varying software distribution methodology.

Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
1.Respond to telephone calls, e-mails, voicemails and drop-bys for technical support in a timely manner.
2.Document, log and track all calls, e-mails, voicemails and drop-bys using case management software.
3.Manage escalation and retain problem ownership (track call, remote control, research and update knowledgebase).
4.Identify research, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems on any related application, hardware or communication requirements.
5.Provide one-on-one training to end users for specific hardware and software issues.
6.Occasional external client support when issues arise with documents received from clients or issues with email.
7.Escalate and liaise with other IT teams to resolve problems.
8.Install, configure and test applications.
9.Review new applications and upgrades and identify potential problems.
10.Assist in the development of Organization produced application manuals by providing “hands on” technical verification of the documentation and procedures.
11.Contribute to and help maintain knowledge base tool.
12.Review support issues and procedures and recommend solutions (trend analysis).
13.Participate in interdepartmental project teams.
14.Manage requests for loaner notebooks and other equipment including setup and testing.
15.Refresh PC’s as needed.
16.Occasionally communicate with 3rd party vendors to resolve application and hardware error issues when necessary.
17.Direct end users to appropriate self support tools and/or handouts.
18.Provide remote access (home) telephone support.
19.Flexible work hours during the week, weekends and statutory holidays.
Qualifications:
1.Diploma in Computer Systems, Systems Administration, or related technical discipline.
2.A minimum of 3 years work experience as a Support Representative is preferred but must have some previous work experience.
3.PC, Laptop, Scanner and Printer hardware troubleshooting experience.
4.Software troubleshooting experience needed including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Office 2003, Outlook 2007, Windows XP, Vista and a document management system.
5.Professional Services experience an asset.
Required Skills:

Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
1.Respond to telephone calls, e-mails, voicemails and drop-bys for technical support in a timely manner.
2.Document, log and track all calls, e-mails, voicemails and drop-bys using case management software.
3.Manage escalation and retain problem ownership (track call, remote control, research and update knowledgebase).
4.Identify research, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems on any related application, hardware or communication requirements.
5.Provide one-on-one training to end users for specific hardware and software issues.
6.Occasional external client support when issues arise with documents received from clients or issues with email.
7.Escalate and liaise with other IT teams to resolve problems.
8.Install, configure and test applications.
9.Review new applications and upgrades and identify potential problems.
10.Assist in the development of Organization produced application manuals by providing “hands on” technical verification of the documentation and procedures.
11.Contribute to and help maintain knowledge base tool.
12.Review support issues and procedures and recommend solutions (trend analysis).
13.Participate in interdepartmental project teams.
14.Manage requests for loaner notebooks and other equipment including setup and testing.
15.Refresh PC’s as needed.
16.Occasionally communicate with 3rd party vendors to resolve application and hardware error issues when necessary.
17.Direct end users to appropriate self support tools and/or handouts.
18.Provide remote access (home) telephone support.
19.Flexible work hours during the week, weekends and statutory holidays.
Qualifications:
1.Diploma in Computer Systems, Systems Administration, or related technical discipline.
2.A minimum of 3 years work experience as a Support Representative is preferred but must have some previous work experience.
3.PC, Laptop, Scanner and Printer hardware troubleshooting experience.
4.Software troubleshooting experience needed including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Office 2003, Outlook 2007, Windows XP, Vista and a document management system.
5.Professional Services experience an asset.
Required Skills:
1.Good analytical problem solving skills; ability to troubleshoot and resolve application problems.
2.Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and telephone manners. Must be able to correspond with lawyers and staff as well as create end user documentation.
3.Client service oriented. Must be able to be productive while working alone or in a team environment.
4.Ability to transfer knowledge in an efficient, pleasant, and effective way using a variety of techniques.
5.Patience, flexibility and an ability to deal with and manage difficult situations.
6.Willingness to work under pressure; willingness to learn new software applications.
7.Bilingual French verbal and written an asset.
