Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Mainframe Programmer for a 1 year contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role:
The Consultant will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
1. Work with a project manager in developing a strategy and approach to address the cheque printing requirements associated with the Transfer payment enhancement (TPE);
2. Work with a project manager in developing a strategy and approach to address the platforming requirements;
3. Document programs and processes for each of the projects and identify impacted systems;
4. Create technical Documentation, develop code, test, support and trouble shoot objects to facilitate the processing of cheques;
5. Support integrated testing of newly developed code; and
6. Recommend best practices related to payment processing.
Services may include involvement in other projects or application development and integration related activities as determined by Senior Project Manager, Financial Systems IT Management, or his/her designate.

The Consultant must be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the following skills, activities, or areas. The knowledge and experience must have been gained through work on a project(s) similar in size and scope to this project.
