This role is for a Senior Quality Management Specialist to take on the end-to-end testing of an off-shore developed application. The quality management specialist would be the only resource on the team tasked with these duties (it is not a team of QA resources to manage). The responsibilities include:                

• Creation and execution of the test plan
• Creation of manual use case/test scripts to be developed with an understanding that business requirements may have gaps           
• Creation of automated functional tests
• Identifying the severity and tracking of all identified issues in TFS             
• Ensuring issues are resolved by the development team in a timely manner         
• Working with the business to identify the user acceptance test plan and negotiating move to production based on severity of bugs remaining.        
• Documenting the results of testing and producing summary level for business acceptance

Deliverables:

The candidate must have strong QA coordination and execution experience directly related to BASE24-pos release 6.0 configurations of Acquirer (SPDH) and Issuer payment networks (interchanges), hosts and routing as well as stand-in functionality. Must review requirements and design specifications and deliver test strategies/plans and coordinate/execute the test preparation and execution. The work requires that the candidate adhere to the documented QA processes, conforming to the SDLC and audit requirements. Planning and ensuring the capture and storage of test results as well as formal defect management (using Quality Centre) are mandatory.

 

 

Key accountabilities are:

• Leading QA aspects of project from inception through to deployment. Participate in requirements analysis and test strategy and planning sessions.
• Delivery of QA strategy and plans according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Provide detailed development estimates to Project Manager for QA effort as well as regular status reporting.

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst with 6+ years experience as an IT Business Analyst.

Bus Systems Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a mid-level IT Business Analyst with 3-5 years experience as an IT Business Analyst for a 6 month contract in MISSISSAUGA

Candidates need to have experience in working on all aspects of the business analysis process from end to end (eg, user requirements, functional specs, test strategy, test plans, scripts, implementation strategy, user training, etc…)

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to facilitate business requirement discussions
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Financial Institution or similar experience is preferred
• Prior experience managing QA activities is an asset
• Experience working with Commercial or Small Business Banking is an asset especially Business Banking Credit space.
• Required to understand new business requirements, conduct business analysis
• Must have knowledge of products and systems process in order to define and document business systems requirements for business unit
• Ensure systems deliverable are met
• Provide consultation as required through project life cycle
• Collaborate with business leaders, IT groups and vendors to ensure issues communicated clearly and accurately.

The Business Systems Analyst will take a leadership role in working with and liaising with business partners to provide research, analysis and documentation of business process improvement opportunities and business requirements.

• Effectively identify, define and document detailed business and system requirements with the involvement of business subject matter experts utilizing the system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology. Translate requirements into functional specification, including process flow and data model documents.
• Integrate technical solutions with the business environment, recognizing systems interdependencies, reusability and ensuring seamless delivery.
• Ensure system deliverables meet business requirements by participating in identifying, designing and testing solutions. Ensure requirements integrity by managing changes to requirements.
• Contribute to the development of project plans by providing input to project charters, project deliverables, cost/benefits analysis, time line estimates, scope and control.
• Assist with the prioritization of initial feature development and ongoing change requests.
• Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Serve as a resource for the Business Readiness team during evaluation of training and performance support needs and the design of the training and performance support products.

SKILLS: Solid research and analysis skills as well as knowledge of business unit requirements (i.e retail lending, fixed income trading etc..). Experience with total project life cycle and related methodologies.

Requirement or Qualifications:


Must Have:

•5-7 years experience working on application development projects
•Experience in financial services (i.e. retail lending, fixed income trading)
•Minimum 3 years of experience working in an IT Business Analyst role with proven requirements gathering, business analysis/verification
•Experience in QA and testing-minimum 3 years of experience in testing, test strategies, test plans and test cases
•Strong documentation skills, specifically writing SDLC documents (min 4 years)
•Very strong Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience (min 4 years). Candidate must understand full lifecycle process
•Excellent analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
•Strong presentation and communications skill
•Excellent listening, written and verbal skills
