Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for Senior Business Systems Analyst for a 12 month Contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Toronto.

Requirements:

Mandatory:

1. Aminimum of 2 verifiable Document Management and/or Records Management system implementations in a diverse corporate environment.  (documentation to be brought to interview)

2. Document and records management systems in SharePoint as a Business Analyst.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop business use cases and screen mockups describing the business processes and expected functional experience
- In each business area become knowledgeable of the document management requirements
- Work with the SharePoint governance model to ensure that governance policies and procedures are used
- Create business and technical requirements documentation that developers can use to create applications that support the functional, technical and visual requirements, conduct analysis of the existing system
- For each request, conduct (create, review and obtain approval) a detailed feasibility study to determine alternatives and associated costs, risks, benefits, timing, etc.
- Liaise with other technical areas in IT Services to ensure that non-functional requirements are captured, formulate solution alternatives that fit in with our current infrastructure, and ensure their buy-in to the proposed solutions
- Requirements documentation needs to be precise, logical in layout, capture the expected user experience, identify mock screens, list required input validations, identify security structure, and create a list of unit/functional tests to be performed
- Coordinate diverse groups who contribute to business requirements and build consensus for requirements across the various user groups
- Assist with DEV/QA/UA testing
- Create a uniform style and language for user documentation and internal documents
- Other technical writing services on other projects where availability permits
- Perform related duties as assigned

Skills:AIIM Electronic Content Management Certificate (or equivalent)
AIIM Electronic Records Management Certificate (or equivalent)

Requirement or Qualifications:
7+ years of Business/Systems analysis experience
6+ years Business Process Analysis experience
3+ years Microsoft SharePoint experience
Case Management Analysis experience
Enterprise document, records and case management solution deployment/ implementation design
Experience implementing and working with SharePoint as a document management system
Experience implementing and working with SharePoint as a records centre system
Experience with SharePoint Server 2010 required
Experience implementing web based solutions that adhere to W3C WCAG 1.0 or 2.0 is required
Knowledge of Project Management delivery methodology
Expert knowledge of SharePoint, UML2.0, MS Office tools (Access, Excel, Work and Power Point),  MS Project/Primavera, and Visio is mandatory
University/Community College degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst for the Business Banking portfolio to work with approx 2 to 3 projects ranging from $250k to $1M+. Projects involve either net new tools or enhancements to the C3 Sales Platform. The C3 Sales Platform is a distributed application running on J2EE application. This candidate will also be bringing in their SME in BSA processes to review the organization’s current process and provide feedback and analysis for process improvement without rippling the waters. This is a London, Ontario based position which will require at least once a week travel to downtown Toronto.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following accountabilities:

• Act as a bridge between the business and IT, eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements.
• Contribute to the development of project plans by providing input to project charters, project deliverables, cost/benefits analysis, time line estimates, scope and control.
• Support system implementation and production readiness by liaising with technology teams and the business.
• Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management (PMLC) methodologies.
• Provide input to responses to business concepts.
• Assist with the prioritization of initial feature development and ongoing change requests.
• Contribute to the development of conversion and implementation strategies. Conduct pre and post implementation reviews, ensuring all technical solutions have met business requirements.
• Supports system implementation and production readiness by liaising with change management, IT architecture and desktop standards, and the business.
• Develop use cases, understand user procedures and workflows, and document how each class of user interacts with each system function.
• Contribute to the development of test strategy.
• Collaborate with business leaders, IT professionals, and vendors ensuring that management is kept informed and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately and clearly communicated.
• Support other team members to achieve business objectives and provide client services

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

• 6+ years proven experience as lead business analyst on major projects
• Self starter with leadership and organization skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
• Solid knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Solid knowledge of “Use Case” and other requirements documentation methodologies
• Familiarity with Project Management methodology (PMLC)
• Ability to facilitate meetings and requirements sessions
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Delivery, business focused mindset
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels
• Experience in building/revamping business analyst process/role
• Experience applying BA industry best practices to meet organizational gating requirements.
• IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) designation an asset
• Distributed application – Java/J2EE background
• C3 Distributed application experience would be nice to have

• Ensure system deliverables meet business requirements by participating in identifying, designing and testing solutions. Ensure requirements integrity by managing changes to requirements.

• Assist with the prioritization of initial feature development and ongoing change requests.
• Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.

Our client has a requirement for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst for a 10 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

We are looking for a Sr. BA who is required for a Facilitrade Replacement project.

This individual would need to have strong process flow and facilitative skills to lead and be responsible for Business Requirements, Use Case creation and Vendor RFI/RFP results analysis, and subsequent enhancement of Business Requirements.


Responsibilities:

• Partner with both technology and business stakeholder groups to elicit, understand and document true business processes, detailed requirements and Use Cases
• Work in synergy with technology working groups – Infrastructure, architecture and development during Vendor RFI/RFP analysis process and actively contribute to final Vendor Assessment
• Identify gaps in Requirements and Technical Documentation and work with project team to resolve
• Work closely with technology to understand technical limitations and advantages of the client’s technology standards to ensure business requirements are aligned
• Produce Use Cases
• Produce final detailed Business Requirements


Requirements or Qualifications

•5-8+ years’ experience an in-depth and hands on Business Analysis focusing on process flow methodologies
•Experience with executing, managing and leading all aspects of eliciting business requirements and Use Cases
•Very strong understanding of the Project Management Lifecycle and Software development lifecycle.
•Capable of clearly communicating complex issues to technical and non-technical personnel
•User training, systems documentation, technical writing experience/skills is plus
•Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent an asset).
•Senior Business analyst for tier one level initiatives
•Process/work-flow modeling
•Use case development
•Ability to elicit and document concise requirements from highly time constrained clients
•Strong negotiations skills, ensure there is value-add in client requests/requirements
•Strong facilitation and management skills, demonstrated against multiple and diverse stakeholder groups
•Desire and proven track record of ability to successfully take ownership and drive project initiatives from inception to completion
•Willingness towards some travel to Montreal on ad-hoc basis only (ie., once a month or once every two months)

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst with 6+ years experience as an IT Business Analyst.

Please submit candidates with experience in working on all aspects of the business analysis process from end to end (eg, user requirements, functional specs, test strategy, test plans, scripts, implementation strategy, user training, etc…)

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
