Our client has a requirement for 6 month contract opportunities.  The positions are located in Mississauga.

Role

 The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of core Online Channels web applications for the Online Channel Technology team

Requirements:

• Hands-on JavaEE application design and development.
• Technical leadership on multi-resource development teams.
• Lead the technical analysis, design sessions and code reviews
• Clear and concise documentation of design options and solutions, based on specifications from business requirements.
• Packaging, deployment and support of builds as code is promoted from Development, System, Acceptance & Production environments
• Ensure delivery of projects to the business partner that meet/exceed specifications
• Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure that development and integration environments are fully functional and that builds are properly deployed
• Unit testing/integration testing of code
• Support of our business partners and the testing teams.
• Active participation in issue resolution, promptly addressing defects.
• Configuration Management / Release Gatekeeping (as project role dictates).
• Knowledge transfer within group and to the production support team.
• Ensuring that solutions adhere development best practices and Architectural principles
• Data set up and environment shake down
• Active participation in issue resolution
• Working with 3rd party Vendors to ensure project success
• Ensuring that SDLC and agile development processes are followed where appropriate
• 5+ years experience in distributed systems development using JavaEE
• Strong knowledge of object oriented analysis and design, implementation, maintenance and SOA
• Advanced skills in technologies such as JavaEE, Web Services, Messaging, JDBC, Servlets. Java Server Faces, Spring/Hibernate, UML and RDMS.
• 5+ years of proven track record developing and delivering solutions for medium to large size projects.
• 3+ years working with leading offshore teams
• Good understanding of development methodologies (i.e. Agile)
• Proven track record with code deployments
• Familiar with TD organization and web banking operations
• Experience with data and development environment set up
• Ability to work effectively with others; self motivated and a team player
• Flexible and able to adapt to change easily

Nice to Haves:

Ideal candidate must have, Java Enterprise Development - JavaEE Web Service Knowledge Java Server Faces - JSF SOA Communication Java Developer experience

Job Description

Our Healthcare sector client has a requirement for a Technical Infrastructure Support Specialist for a 6 month contract located in Toronto.

Deliverables:

• Responsible for the integrated assessment record (IAR) technical infrastructure including the support of technical implementations, application support, environment support
• Work collaboratively with the IAR development, QA and privacy and security teams
• Escalate issues as appropriately to the IAR technical lead
• Work closely with other IAR resources to define and or refine requirements for improvements to the application
• Support technology relationship with outsourced application hosting vendors, development partner and/or technology vendor(s)
• Execute new deployments and upgrades of the IAR
• Support the complete life cycle of the IAR - maintenance, monitoring and patching
• Create supporting documentation including build books, run books, deployment guides and other operations processes as required.
• Review and when required, implement changes in IAR environments as a part of the change management process
• Troubleshoot technical issues
• Create and manage project timelines to meet business and project goals.
• Support the development and/or configuration of the IAR
• Escalate IAR system errors to vendors and ensure timely fixes are provided and deployed

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• 6 years or more of experience in web, distributed and middleware applications infrastructure set up and maintenance
• Experience deploying, installing, administering, securing and maintaining server environments running Linux or Unix systems
• Experience administering Windows servers
• Strong experience with Java-based applications, Apache, Tomcat, webservices, JDBC, Oracle, SQL, shell scripting
• Good knowledge of networking concepts (e.g. firewall, DMZ architecture, network security, SSL, encryption, authentication/authorization technologies)
• Detail-oriented, with excellent troubleshooting skills
• A successful track record of ensuring that the business needs of clients are met
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion, engage participants and meet deadlines
• Experience creating technical documentation such as deployment, administration and maintenance guides
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and work independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• 4 years or more experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Detail-oriented, thorough, analytical

Our client has a requirement for a Solutions Developer for a 5 month contract opportunity.  The position can be located in either Mississauga or London, ON.

Role:

This role is a blend between a highly technical individual with a Web Services background and an individual with strong leadership qualities.

The primary focus of this role will be to perform inventory analysis of 55 Web Services. This individual will be required to compare the existing services with the defined standards and identify the delta between the two. The result will be a scorecard for how each service measure up to these defined standards along with other miscellaneous recommendations for improving each Service. There will also need to be an effort estimate for applying each standard. The individual will work closely with the project PM as well as the in house Senior Designer. This role will require the candidate to think and work very autonomously. The delivery date for this project is March 2012, however, there is a potential for contract extension depending on deadlines.

Our client has a requirement for Database Administrator / Level 2 for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Requirements

The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:

• Install and configure Oracle databases for the IAR provincial solution and related components, in production, test and development environments.
• Implement required upgrades and changes in Oracle databases in all environments
• Maintain databases by monitoring performance, usage, optimizing configuration, executing update patches, running back-ups and providing on-going incident support
• Address all aspects of database administration including security, performance, recoverability, availability, integrity, reliability
• Perform database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization.
• Create and/or update database installation and maintenance documentation
• Perform application and system administration activities as required (e.g. Linux administration, creating users)
• Perform application and system deployment, configuration and other implementation support activities as required

Qualified Candidates will have

• Experience installing, configuring, administering and troubleshooting Oracle 10g EE database on Linux or UNIX platform
• Strong knowledge of Unix shell scripting and PL/SQL

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Advanced Security and TDE
• Oracle Certification - OCP or OCM

Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for an Intermediate Solutions Developer for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

A vacancy exists for a developer to join the team in the delivery and development of this project and to eventually contribute to future enhancement, support and maintenance post-delivery.


As part of this team, prime responsibility will be to:

•Work with other team members to cooperatively design, develop and deploy quality solutions in order to satisfy project objectives and client requirements. Writes, tests and debugs code. Participates in code reviews.
•Comply with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. Take part in construction of the requirements, design, and testing and deployment documents.
•Create test plans, test and debug code, using available/appropriate tools. Participate in testing reviews.
•Ensure consistency in coding standards.
•Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.
•Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation as required.
